To Live is to Die

I tried to kill a character today. I even wrote a rather grotesque death scene revealing another character to be a bad guy. I rewrote it about four times. It kept bothering me. Eventually I ended up not killing the character. Maybe disgrace is a fate worse than death? A protagonist will die tomorrow or the day after. It’s not really a spoiler, since I tell you a character is going to die through out the story.
Apparently I write “new pulp.” I didn’t know what I wrote until I saw it defined. To steal another from Chuck Wendig: I am almost done vomiting the first draft. I’ll take a week off, then start editing the bajeezus out of it.
